• No specific minimum or maximum age limit is prescribed/mentioned in the notification. Eligibility is based on the category-wise conditions specified by CBSE in Annexure-1.

Secondary School Examination (Class X)• Full Subjects (5/6/7): Candidates declared Essential Repeat in 2026; candidates declared Fail/Essential Repeat in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026; candidates who could not appear in the 2026 exam due to medical reasons (except shortage of attendance), and eligible Compartment candidates opting for all subjects as per CBSE rules.
Secondary School Examination (Class X)• Compartment: Candidates declared Compartment in 2026 Main/Supplementary Examination can apply only for the subject in which they were placed in Compartment.
Secondary School Examination (Class X)• Improvement: Candidates declared PASS in 2026 can apply for improvement in one or more subjects, subject to CBSE rules.
Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII)• Full Subjects (5/6): Candidates declared Essential Repeat in 2026; candidates declared Fail/Essential Repeat in 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026; candidates who could not appear in the 2026 exam due to medical reasons (except shortage of attendance), and eligible Compartment candidates opting for all subjects as per CBSE rules.

Special Comment
Photo:• “The photograph must be a recent passport-style color photo with 80% of the face clearly visible (without a mask), against a white background.”
• Passport-size photo with the candidate’s name and a recent date (taken within the last 6 months).
• If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.
• Caps, hats and dark glasses are not acceptable
• Size of file should be between 10kb–200kb
Signature:• The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
• Signature (NOT IN CAPITAL LETTERS) uploaded should be of appropriate size and clearly visible.
• Size of file should be between 4kb – 30kb
